Mercy
The purpose of the Mercy Ministry Team is to meet the physical needs of those within and outside the body of Northside Presbyterian Church through the use of financial and spiritual gifts.
Mercy ministry is important at Northside because God calls it is to be an important part of the life of the Christian and the church. We currently provide financial help and counseling as well as operate a food pantry. Several opportunities to serve in this area also include: meeting with those individuals who contact the church for assistance and providing follow-up support or counseling as needed, participation in a monthly visitation to a local assisted living center, annual participation in providing food for families at Thanksgiving as well as providing Christmas presents to local families in need. Northside is also partnering with Habitat for Humanity this fall and is scheduled to begin assisting to build a new Habitat home in our area.
If you need additional information about the Mercy Ministry Team or would like to assist in this area, please contact the Mercy Committee.
